DRS-SS microwave product line is based on the company’s well-established low-noise frequency generation and processing technology. Initially used to provide low-noise crystal multiplier components to the defense industry, the technology has been expanded to provide a broad base of defense microwave products covering the 100 MHz to 40 GHz frequency range. DRS-SS microwave products are designed for radar systems, communication and data links, missiles and ECM systems.

DRS-SS microwave sources offer a full line of single and multi-channel sources for applications in radar and airborne data link platforms. The product line consists of PLL frequency synthesizers, frequency multipliers and microwave receivers, frequency sources ranging from single channel crystal/multiplier units up to multi-channel fast switching radar LO subsystems. These fast switching sources are capable of extremely fast phase settling and provide an excellent solution to STALO requirements in multi-function electronically scanned array radar systems.

The microwave subsystem series offers a line of custom microwave equipment for use in production test stations for data link and Doppler guidance systems. DRS-SS microwave products are noted for excellent phase noise performance and superior spurious rejection. DRS-SS microwave products employ the latest MIC and SMT technology and can be tailored to customer’s specific applications. Products are built to ISO-9000:2001 and are ruggedly designed for severe environments.
