DRS-SS provides a complete line of frequency converter products for use in defense satellite communications terminals. DRS-SS converters are installed in various defense applications throughout the world including ground sheltered, ground mobile, and shipboard platforms. The product line consists of frequency upconverters and frequency downconverters covering the C, X, Ku and Ka SATCOM frequency bands. The ZC Series products include single band converters in X and Ku bands, tri-band converters covering C, X, and Ku bands and quad-band units providing C, X, Ku and Ka Band operation. The performance of all of our converters exceeds IESS standards in transmission quality. Tri-band and up-converters and down-converters are available in half-rack 1RU.packages, thereby providing fully redundant up/down conversion in a 2RU rack space. In addition to frequency converters, DRS-SS provides ancillary support equipment for use in test and maintenance of the terminal including satellite simulators. |
